The only files they don't share are on the configuration files, that way they each have their own settings and server name. With this method, you can simply update your server once like normal and all of your servers will be updated together because they share the same files. That would waste a lot of time and consume more of your hard drive space. This will eliminate the need to set up a second server using SteamCMD.exe. Once it finishes downloading the custom map(s), it will copy them to the second location and will result in a Item State 4. If the server finds that map is not installed in the first location, it will go to an Item State 0 and download a new file from Workshop. If the map is installed to the first location above, it will automatically copy that map file to the second location below without the need to download it from the Workshop. The server will check to see if the map already installed in the first location:Ĭ:\KF2Server\Binaries\Win64\steamapps\workshop\content\232090 Remember, the workshop installs custom maps under TWO different locations in your server files. You will see this warning after adding new maps to your config and launching the server. Means the server is checking to see if the map already installed so it doesn't have to download it from the Workshop. Warning: Warning, Workshop: Attempting to check if item is installed without having downloaded it.It can also mean you entered an invalid Workshop ID in your config. ![]() Means the Workshop page for the ID you entered was set to private or taken down.
